Sandals and Couples Resorts

Sandals Travel Agent for Honeymoons and Couples Trips

Most couples pick a Sandals by scrolling the website until every resort starts to look the same. That's where a Sandals travel agent earns her keep. I'm a Sandals Certified Specialist in Sioux Falls, and I plan Sandals honeymoons, anniversaries and just-because trips for couples all over the country. I figure out which island, which resort and which room fit the two of you. Then I handle every detail after you say yes. Booking through me costs the same as booking with Sandals yourself.

What I do that the Sandals website can't

Sandals has resorts in Jamaica, Saint Lucia, Antigua, Barbados, Grenada, the Bahamas, Saint Vincent and Curaçao. Every one of them has a long list of room categories, and the difference between two of them can be a butler, a private pool or a swim-up door. On the website they blur together. On a call with me they don't, because I ask what you actually want your mornings to feel like and match the room to that.

Timing matters too, and right now it matters most in Jamaica. Sandals South Coast reopens November 18, 2026 after renovations. Sandals Montego Bay and Sandals Caribbean Cay, the resort that used to be Sandals Royal Caribbean, reopen December 18, 2026. If you're reading reviews from a couple of years ago, they may describe a resort that doesn't look like that anymore. I track those changes so you don't book off old information.

Planning your Sandals honeymoon

A Sandals honeymoon starts with three questions. Do you want to do things or do nothing? Do you want the overwater villa, or would you trade it for a longer stay? And how far are you willing to fly after the wedding? Your answers narrow the whole list down to two or three resorts, fast.

From there I build the trip around the two of you. Room category, flights, transfers, the dinner reservations worth making early, the spa time, the anniversary note for the butler if you have one. I keep everything in one place so neither of you has to keep track of a single confirmation number during wedding week.

How I choose the best Sandals resort for your honeymoon

There isn't one best Sandals resort for a honeymoon. There's the best one for you. Couples who want overwater villas, couples who want a quiet beach and a book, and couples who want twelve restaurants and a different bar every night end up at three different resorts. I tell you which one I'd pick for you, and why.

Sandals or Couples Resorts in Jamaica

I also book Couples Resorts, which matters if Jamaica is on your list. Couples has four resorts, all in Jamaica. They're smaller and quieter than most Sandals resorts. Sandals gives you more islands, more restaurants and more room categories to choose from.

I sell both, so I'm not steering you toward either one. Some couples want the scale and the options at Sandals. Others want a resort where the staff knows their names by day two. I'll tell you which side of that line you're on before you spend a dollar.

What it costs to book Sandals through me

Sandals pays me when you book, so your price is the same whether you book with me or on your own. If you already know the resort and your dates, there's no planning fee. You just get someone on your side from the day you book until the day you're home.

If you're starting from scratch and want me to compare islands, resorts and room categories with you, we'll talk about that on our first call. I'll tell you up front if there's a fee, and why.

Questions

Questions I get asked

It costs the same. Sandals pays my commission, so you don't pay more for having me. What you get is someone who knows the room categories, watches for changes before you travel and answers when you text.

It depends on what the two of you want from the trip. Overwater villas, a quiet adults-only beach and nonstop dining all point to different resorts. I narrow it down on our first call and tell you which one I'd book for you.

Neither is better across the board. Sandals has more islands and more choices at each resort. Couples Resorts is Jamaica only, with four smaller resorts. I sell both and match you to the one that fits.

Several Jamaica resorts are reopening after renovations. Sandals South Coast reopens November 18, 2026, and Sandals Montego Bay and Sandals Caribbean Cay reopen December 18, 2026. All three are taking bookings now. I confirm the status of any resort before you book.

You don't need one, but it costs nothing extra to have one. If you already know the resort and dates, I book it with no planning fee and stay with you until you're home.

As soon as you have your dates. Butler suites and overwater villas are the first rooms to go, and booking early gives you the most choice.
